From canal bank armoring to construction site erosion control, we have the equipment and expertise to keep soil where it belongs.

What We Do

Our soil retention services include riprap (armor stone) installation along canals, lakes, and waterways, erosion control blanket installation, geotextile fabric and filter fabric systems, gabion basket walls, slope stabilization, construction site erosion and sediment control (SWPPP compliance), bank grading and reshaping, and vegetation-based erosion control. We source and place riprap in sizes ranging from small stone to large armor rock depending on wave energy and flow conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Riprap is large stone placed along waterways and slopes to prevent erosion from wave action and water flow. You need riprap when your canal bank, lake shore, or pond edge is eroding and losing soil. It’s a permanent, low-maintenance solution compared to vegetation or seawalls in many applications.

Riprap installation typically costs $30-$75 per linear foot depending on the height of protection needed, stone size, and site access. Larger projects with good truck access cost less per foot. We provide exact quotes after site evaluation.

It depends on the situation. Riprap is more natural-looking, less expensive for many applications, and provides habitat. Seawalls provide a hard vertical edge and can be better where space is limited or you need a dock. We can advise which solution fits your property best.

Work along canals, lakes, and waterways in Southwest Florida typically requires permits from the city/county and potentially SFWMD or Army Corps of Engineers. We handle all permitting requirements.
